Display

The Camon 12 has a 6.52 inches display with 81.6% screen-to-body ratio and an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. It also has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels with a 20:9 ratio. Camon 11, on the other hand, has a 6.2 inches display with 81.3% screen-to-body ratio and an IPS LCD capacitative touchscreen with 16M colors. It has a resolution of 720 x 1500 pixels.

Design

The body of the Camon 12 comes in 166 x 75.8 x 8.2 mm dimension and weighs 170.7 grames. It has a waterdrop notch at the top of the display that also houses the front camera. The back has a triple camera setup with a quad flash. The power button and volume rocker keys are located on the right side of the phone while the SIM and SD card tray are located on the left. The bottom of the phone has a speaker, microphone, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 charging port. The Camon 11, on the other hand, comes in 156.5 x 76 x 5.6 mm dimension and weighs 150 grames. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side of the phone while the Dual SIM card and microSD card tray is on the left. The bottom edge has a speaker, micro USB port, microphone and the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Camera

Camon 12 has a triple back camera set up with 16 MP primary camera, 8 MP – wide-angle, 2 MP – depth sensor and uses a quad-LED flash with modes such as panorama and HDR. It has a single 16MP selfie camera with a double flash with HDR mode. The Tecno Camon 12 has a dedicated SD card slot which is expandable to 256GB. It has RAM of 4GB and internal storage of 64GB. The Camon 12 runs on Android 9.0 and HIOS 5.5. It runs on the Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12 nm) chipset, uses the Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and runs on PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Camon 11, on the other hand, has a dedicated SD card slot which is expandable to 128GB. Its inbuilt memory comes in two variants; 3GB RAM & 32GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM & 64GB internal storage. It runs on Android 8.1 and uses the Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 (12 nm) chipset. It uses the Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and runs on PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

Battery

Tecno Camon 12 has a non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery that takes approximately a full day on moderate usage. On the other hand, Tecno Camon 11 has a non-removable Li-Ion 3750 mAh battery which lasts about 12 hours of moderate usage.

Price

The Camon 12 costs UGX 565,000 in Tecno and MTN shops around Uganda. The Camon 11, on the other hand, costs UGX 765, 000 in Tecno shops around Uganda.
